WEATHER: Schools all open, bin collections still on

NONE of Boston’s schools were reported to have fallen foul of the weather today - and bin collections are also going ahead as normal.

Boston Borough Council says that it does not expect to miss any of its planned refuse collections, but says staff may be a little delayed in collecting the bins due to adverse weather conditions.

A spokesman said: “We are asking residents expecting a collection to leave their bins out if we are not there at our usual time. We aim to make all the usual pick-ups.”

All council car parks are open and Wednesday’s market is still due to be on as normal. Lincolnshire County Council has not reported any school closures for the county today.
