This snapshot of Boston Baptists’ FC team from the early 1950s was brought in to The Standard by Mr R. Hughes of Dudley Close, Boston.

Mr Hughes said: “The one in the film star looks holding the ball is my brother Chris Hughes,” (now deceased).

“It’s funny to see how smartly dressed the fans were then.”

He named them as, back row, left to right, F. Bartlett, R. Harvey, D. Ramesden, B. Homewood, F. Harvey, front, G. Williamson, D. Homewood, C. Hughes, G. Elding, J. Rolfe, C. Drury.
