GLADYS Joan Harriss

GLADYS Joan Harriss (Joan), of Eastwood Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital after a short illness.

She was 85.

Born in Helpringham, she had lived in the area for 85 years.

A widow, she leaves son Michael Harriss, granddaughter Rebecca Galan, grandson Danial Harriss, and great-grandchildren Sienna Harriss, and Jake and Joe Galan.

Mrs Harriss worked as a cook/housekeeper for wards of Carrington and as a vegetable process worker at Marshalls, of Butterwick. She retired in 1982.

Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was conducted by Father Noble.

Chief family mourners were: Michael Harriss (son), Susan Harriss (daughter-in-law), Rebecca Galan and Jesus (granddaughter and husband), Danial Harriss and Julie (grandson and wife), Jake and Joe Galan (great grandsons), Sienna Harriss (great granddaughter), John Mizon and Glenda (nephew and wife), Jeff Oldroyd and Pat (cousin and wife), Bet Shaw and Bill (niece and husband), and Jamie Bastick (step-grandson).
