Mr Bernard Wright

BERNARD Wright, of Leverton, has died at Pilgrim Hospital.

He was 73.

Born in Leverton, he lived in the area for his entire life.

A widower, he leaves behind daughters Carole and Julie, brothers Norman and Ernest and sister Jean.

During his working life he worked for family-owned farm Wright Brothers. He took semi-retirement following a stroke in 1993.

Away from work he always enjoyed village life through his committee roles. He took part in fundraising and was encouraged by the community spirit in Leverton.

His funeral took place at Wrangle Chapel and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Julie Doddrell.

Chief family mourners were: Carole and Dave Mitcham and Julie and Stewart Peltell (daughters and sons-in-law), Richard and Adam Mitcham (grandsons), Michael and Liam Peltell and Laura and Beth (grandsons and partners), Norman Wright and Jan (brother and partner), Ernest and Rona Wright (brother and sister-in-law), Jean and Paul Shelton (sister and nephew), Neil Wright and Gaynor (nephew and partner), Mr and Mrs Roger Wright (nephew and wife), Kay Wright (niece), Angela Finney and family (niece and family), Paul and Yvonne Truepenny (nephew and wife), Freda and Joyce Truepenny (sisters-in-law), Nigel and Jennifer Truepenny (nephew and niece), Mr and Mrs Ted Carrot and Ann, Mr and Mrs C. Wright (cousins), Reg Truepenny (brother-in-law), Mr and Mrs Geoff Clarke.
