Mrs Gladys Blackbourne (Glad)

Gladys Blackbourne, (Glad) of Milson Close, Coningsby, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following a stroke. She was 75.

Born in Sutterton Dowdyke, she lived in this area all her life.

A married woman, she is survived by husband Ted Blackbourne, sister Irene Hall and brother Robert Melson.

A housewife, she enjoyed knitting and fishing and was a member of Spilsby and Mablethorpe Chrysant Society.

Her funeral service took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev John Moore.

Chief family mourners were: Ted Blackbourne (husband), Irene Hall (sister), Mr and Mrs D. Blackbourne and Mr and Mrs H. Blackbourne (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law).

Unable to attend: Robert and Doff Melson (brother and sister-in-law), Pete Maskell and Paul Houldershaw (nephews), Cathy Blackbourne (niece) and Mr and Mrs S. Rolf (nephew and niece). Arrangements by F.E. Addlesee and Son.
