Mrs Joan Elizabeth Tipper (Betty)

JOAN Elizabeth Tipper (Betty), of the Minstrels Residential Home, in Sleaford Road, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following illness.

She was 87.

Born in Louth, she had lived in the area for more than 80 years.

Widow to the late Fred Tipper, she is survived by nephews and nieces Mr and Mrs Peter Davey and Mr and Mrs Steven Davey, great niece Elizabeth Davey and cousin Bernice Doughty.

Mrs Tipper worked as a shop assistant and during the Second World War was a munitions worker at Grantham.

Her funeral took place at Boston Parish Church and was followed by cremation. The service was conducted by Canon Robin Whitehead.
