PATRICIA Joyce Jessop

PATRICIA Joyce Jessop, of Lowgate, Gosberton, has died at Pilgrim Hospital.

She was 73.

Born in Gosberton, she had lived in the area all her life.

A married woman, she leaves husband Roland Jessop, son Rodney Jessop, and brother Chris Clark.

Mrs Jessop attended Gosberton Primary School and then Donington's Thomas Cowley School.

After leaving school, one of her first jobs was at Frank Brocklehurst's dairy. It was here that she met future husband Roland, who had gone to work for Mr Brocklehurst following National Service.

Mrs Jessop also worked in the bakers shop in Salem Street, Harry Fisher's butchers shop, also in Salem Street, and worked alongside her mother Elsie for Evelyn Garner and her son John.

She retired aged 60.

Mrs Jessop enjoyed her caravanning holidays to Yorkshire, especially Heartbeat country, and also loved her knitting and gardening

She was a supporter of the Lincolnshire and Notting-hamshire Air Ambulance and donated to cancer charities.

Her funeral took place at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Gosberton.

It was conducted by the Rev Ian Walters and was followed by interment.

Chief family mourners were: Roland Jessop (husband), Rodney Jessop (son), Chris Clark (brother), Mrs L. Brown, Mrs G. Stephenson, and Mrs B. Clark (aunts), Mr and Mrs J. Jessop (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs V. Brown, Mr R. Green, Mrs P. Parker, Mr and Mrs R. Stephenson, Mrs C. Palmer, Mrs D. Worral, Mr and Mrs T. Towns, Mrs K. Towns, Mr B. Towns, Mr and Mrs D. Watts, Mrs G. German, Mr and Mrs J. Mc Clelland, and Mrs S. Cowling (cousins), Mrs A. Gray (cousin), rep: David, Bertha, Alan, Peter and Heather, Jane and Mick, and Mrs S. Ellis (cousin), rep: Mick Ellis, Adam, and Daniel.

Unable to attend through ill health: Mr and Mrs A. Scot (uncle and aunt).
