Monday, 9.30am - VETERAN comedian, TV favourite and ex-Crackerjack regular Bernie Clifton rides into Boston on his trusty ostrich Oswald to launch the new era at Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre this week.
Gala Showtime on Tuesday (Sepotember 2) promises comedy, music and song for all the family.
Alongside the zany comic the variety show will feature two singers – Beryl Johnson from Friday Night is Music Night and Gordon Cree with his songs from bonnie Scotland.
Magic moments will be supplied by illusionists Safire, plus there's more from Pete Lindup, the Martyn St James Band and the Dance Krazy showgirls.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost £15 (£12 concessions).
For further information, call the box office on 01205 363108.

For the best news, sport and leisure coverage in the area turn to the Boston Standard, out every Wednesday for just 42p.

Today's Vote

This week: Regarding the planned works at the Geoff Moulder pool do you want to see:
a) The training pool closed and £2.5m spent on the leisure pool?
b) The money split between the two pools so they can both stay open?
