Friday, 9.30am - ONE of the largest village shows in the country promises a mix of old favourites and exciting newcomers this weekend.
The 141st Heckington Show has something for all the family on Saturday and Sunday (July 26-27) – including some spectacular main ring entertainment.
The Red Devils parachute display team plans to drop in on Saturday at 1.45pm while Joseph's Amazing Camels will trot by later in the afternoon and the 95th Rifles (as seen on TV's Sharpe) will be bringing the Napoleonic era to vivid life.
On Sunday Viking warriors, show jumping and FMX stunt bikes will entertain the crowds.
Livestock, from poultry and rabbits to heavy horses, cattle and sheep will be on show, plus agricultural machinery, arts and crafts, kids' attractions, music, food, drink and much more.
The show is open 9.30am to 6.30pm on Saturday, followed by a firework concert by Sleaford Concert Band from 8-10.30pm. On Sunday the opening hours are 9am to 5.30pm.

For the best news, sport and leisure coverage in the area turn to the Boston Standard, out every Wednesday for just 42p.
