24/09/08 - Leader needs to tell Curley to go...
Published Date:

It is to be hoped that the leader of the council will uphold his previous attitude towards councillors convicted of drink-driving.
On June 4 in The Standard he was quoted at that time saying we do not condone drink-driving among members.
Shall we now be seeing the leader asking for the required resignation of another of his party following a conviction for drink-driving?
It is expected that councillors will be seen to be setting an example to the public of their ward and Boston.
If the behaviour of a councillor falls short of such requirements there is some legal and, even more, a moral requirement for them to be asked to step down.
We hope the leader of the Boston Bypass party will be doing the right thing by the people of Boston, whom they have been representing.
We shall see if the leader has changed his mind since June 4 or if the people of Boston are expected to contribute to Councillor Curley's travelling expenses while he is banned.
How about clearing up this mess Councillor Austin.
