I'M FED up! I live next to St John's Skirbeck Park. There are three bins in the park but only one with a metal liner to keep rubbish in.
I've phoned and written to the council but they don't even have the courtesy to respond. So people in Skirbeck Park, along Skirbeck Road and by St Nick's riverbank do not have a bin to put their rubbish in, even if they wanted to.
The council should
do what other authorities do and offer a good service. There should also be visible community support workers in the area to fine litter louts who do not use the bins provided.
Skirbeck Park is a total mess. I often have to pick up rubbish and clean up the rubbish that's
outside my house.
I the come to work and find another mess around Halter Lane. Boston Chamber of Commerce has just asked me to vote for the BID scheme which will mean me providing more money to be used for the good of the town and to make it more appealing to prospective customers.
I have voted yes for the good of the town, but I feel my business rates and council tax should be used to keep the town tidy.
No wonder morale is so low in this town. The leader cannot sort out the basic problems.
It is commonsense that is missing.
