Bingo player’s £25k win

A KEEN bingo player has started the New Year in the best possible fashion by winning almost £25,000 on the Gliderdrome’s national link-up game on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old man from the Boston area, who did not want to be named, won his game in just 41 numbers, the least amount across all the bingo halls involved.

He said he had been playing bingo since the age of nine going with various family members and friends.

The most he had won before this was around £500.

Andrew Malkinson, whose family run the Gliderdrome, said “We're chuffed to bits for him. It's a great way to end the year for us and for him.

"We seem to do well on the national game here."

The winner said he was going to spend his winnings extending a holiday to Tenerife he had already booked to two weeks.
