Game over for Boston store

THE Boston branch of Game has revealed it will close its doors in March

The video game store, in Strait Bargate, will close on Saturday, March 17.

The Standard understands six or seven staff may be affected.

In a letter to customers the company’s head of customer services David McGreevy said customers could visit the town’s other player.

He wrote: “Our friends over at Gamestation, 18a Silver Street, Pescod Square, Boston, PE21 6QU are ready to welcome you with open arms.

“Don’t worry about all the pre-orders you placed with us as we’ve passed the details over to them and your pre-prders can be picked up from there,” he added.

The letter also reassured customers that Gamestation has the same offers, and said the nearest Game store would now be in Springfields Factory Outlet in Spalding.
