Garden opens for charity in village

A NEW York gardener is opening her home to the public as part of the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday, June 5.

Kathy Wright will be opening the garden at Frog Hall Cottage, on the B1192, between 2-5pm.

It is a three-quarter acre classic style garden planted with roses, shrubs and perennials.

There will be many unusual plants, a stream, a courtyard-style patio, a large gravelled area with raised beds, an arbour and lawned area with large island beds, an unfenced pond, a small paved terrace and a newly-planted picnic area.

Admission £2.50 adult, children free, including home-made teas.
