Soulful show set to preach gospel

Thursday, 9.30am - ALL join in – that's the clarion call as Blackfriars Theatre prepares for two inspirational evenings of music and song this weekend.

Audiences are invited to come along and enjoy the soulful sounds of the FICC gospel singers, who promise to lift your spirits and leave you wanting more.

The toe-tapping extravaganza comes to Boston's arts centre on Friday and Saturday (September 12-13) at 7.30pm.

The show is entitled Taste and See and songs to be performed range from some old favourites to infectious new numbers intended to inspire and move audiences.

Familiar faces to regulars at Blackfriars will be Marilyn Cobb, Trevor Fenton and Glyn Ruskin, while newcomers to the Boston scene are the singers from FICC (Faith in Christ Church) bringing gospel singing at its finest.

Tickets for the shows are priced at 10 and are available from the box office on 01205 363108.

For the best news, sport and leisure coverage in the area turn to the Boston Standard, out every Wednesday for just 42p.
