Residents in Sibsey are getting ready for a Christmas to remember this year, as the village prepares for its first ever Christmas lights switch on.
The village hall committee, the parish council, Sibsey Free School and St Margaret’s Church have joined forces to provide a ceremony to switch on the lights and get people in the mood for the festive season.
It will centre around a fir tree on the traffic island outside the village school, which has been fitted with lights especially for this cool yule celebration.
As well as the switch on, the event will see the Rainbow Singers and choirs from the church perform carols, seasonal refreshments will be provided, and it is hoped that Father Christmas might make an appearance.
A presenter from BBC Lincolnshire will be performing the switch on.
It will take place at 3.30pm on November 30.
