120 homes plan will focus on Stump

BOSTON Stump is set to be the focus of a proposed housing development on land near to Boston West Primary School.

Broadgate Homes has applied to build up to 120 homes on land between the school and the North Forty Foot Drain – and the whole plot will be designed to allow a clear view of St Botolph’s Church.

In its application to Boston Borough Council, Broadgate said it wanted to ‘create a transparent viewing corridor towards Boston Stump in the southern area of the site’.

The site will provide a selection of two and three-bedroom houses, although the mix will depend on factors including market demand and location. Around 30 per cent of the houses will be affordable.

The application will be considered by the council later in the summer.
