Friday, 2.40pm -LINCOLNSHIRE County Council leader Martin Hill has received his OBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The honour has been awarded for his services to local government in the county.

Coun Hill has been a county councillor for almost 16 years and leader of the authority since May 2005.

He said: "I think if the county council wasn't doing well as a whole I wouldn't have got this, so I hope all the council staff take some reflected glory in this."

As a member of the Lincolnshire Local Government Association, Coun Hill also works closely with the seven district authorities in the area as well as the Police Authority to make representations to Government for the benefit of the people of Lincolnshire.
