Man admits killing Boston woman

Thursday, 10.55am - MARC Middlebrook has admitted killing Stephanie Barton.
Middlebrook accepted he was responsible for the death of Ms Barton, 32, of Brothertoft Road, Boston.

Middlebrook, 26, of Larkspur Croft, Boston, denied her murder but pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter at Lincoln Crown Court today.

The case was adjourned after the prosecution, which has yet to accept or reject the plea, asked for further psychiatric reports.

Judge Michael Heath, remanded Middlebrook back into custody until a hearing on July 14.

Ms Barton's body was found with multiple stab-wounds in a bedroom at a house in Larkspur Croft on December 4.
