Friday, 9am - PENSIONERS who attend Age Concern events in Boston have met for the first time at their new home.
The group moved out of its former venue – Pensioners House, behind Marks and Spencer – in April, partly because of an expected hike in fees.
But the group – which numbers more than 200 – reunited at Boston Conservative Club on Wednesday following a brief six-week hiatus.
Organiser Gail Love said: "It was amazing. It was lovely to see all my volunteers back, who stayed with us in that short interim. It was lovely to see old faces back again, as well as new faces."
The pop-in sessions will take place every Wednesday, from 10am-12.30pm, with teacakes and coffee. Coming soon, the session will also include lunches, served from 11.45am-12.30pm, and further down the line, activities.
l For more information, or if you are interested in becoming a volunteer, call Gail Love, tel: 07944 331533.
