Seventeen cars damaged by fire

Wednesday, 9.30am - SEVENTEEN crashed cars waiting for repairs at a Boston breakdown and recovery firm have been struck by arsonists.

The blaze at Wakefield Autos, in Marsh Lane, was reported to Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue yesterday about 8pm.

Seven cars were severely damaged by fire, while a further 10 suffered light damage by heat.

Crews from Boston, Kirton and Leverton attended the fire and used four breathing apparatus and four hose reel jets to extinguish it.
The Fire Service reported that the cause of the fire was deliberate.
It added that no one was injured in the blaze.
