A CHARITY event, featuring 12 hours of live music from local bands, will be held at Blackfriars Theatre on Saturday.

Taking place at the Spain Lane venue from 11am-11pm, the day long event will be headlined by local acts Townsend, Unshaven, Travisty and the Dave Clarke Trio from 7pm.

The acts are subject to change but also include the Dazed Dakotas, the Supernormals (formerly the Huskies), Damian Hird, John Ingamells, Jay Langshore, Martin Rich, Kieth Easton, John Otter, Micheal and Ozzy, Boston Operatics, katie Abbott and John the Comic.

Headliners Townsend are a four-piece band from Boston who play a range of covers from rock and roll to modern hits mixed with mod and punk.

Entry costs £10 adult and £1 child minimum donations for the day.

The event aims to raise money for Help for Heroes with 20 per cent of all takings also going to Blackfriars Theatre.
