To celebrate Armed Forces Day today (Saturday), the Boston branch of The Royal British Legion is holding a drop-in centre in Pescod Hall, Pescod Square.
Serving armed forces personnel, their families and veterans can come along for support and advice in a friendly atmosphere.
On the day the branch will also be remembering the sacrifices made by servicemen and women in a service outside the hall.
The Lincolnshire Family History Society Boston branch will be on hand to give details of the people who are named on the Boston War Memorials.
A spokesman for the branch said: “The people of Boston have long been strong fantastic supporters of the Armed Services and every year from the town alone we raise over £25,000! It is hoped that with the help of the People of Boston the Boston Branch will be able to record the outstanding efforts and sacrifices that the past members of our community have made.”
Do you have a family member named on the Boston War Memorial? If you do it would be great to hear from you, if you have any stories we would love to hear them. The branch would love to see any letters, medals or memorabilia that people can take along on the day.
