Boston College’s art and design and photography students have showcased their talents at their end-of-year exhibition.

The exhibition is an annual event for the college’s visual arts and media departments and this year, as a result of links developed with Fydell House, it meant the work of students was able to be displayed in a professional setting. The exhibition was held over the course of a week and proved of interest to many visitors.

The exhibition provided the perfect opportunity for the college’s end-of-year awards to be presented to students. These awards take into account their progress and achievements throughout the whole academic year, and this year resulted in Fran Healands receiving the award for ‘best in show’.

Programme area manager for the departments, Tim White, said: “I was overjoyed with the quality and diversity of the work being exhibited this year.”

“It was fantastic and the experience was vital for them as they move forward in their chosen fields. The strength of our courses lies in promoting industry practices, so this was a great success.”
