MORE HOUSEHOLDS are at risk of flooding in Boston and Skegness than anywhere else in the UK, according to statistics revealed today.
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) revealed that the constituency topped the list of at risk areas, with more than 7,500 homes facing a significant chance of flooding.
It means homes in the most at risk areas face insurance issues due to the high level of cover needed, the ABI has said.
Boston Borough Council has hit back at the statistics, saying the scale does not take into account the fact flood defences have stopped any major flooding in the town for more than 200 years.
Also high on the list were the Vale of Clwyd, Folkestone and Hythe and Windsor.
