The Boston branch of the Oddfellows society will be hosting a number of special events during September for people to come together locally, have fun, and try something new.

Held as part of the national Friendship Month campaign, they include:

* A games afternoon on Wednesday, September 7, at 2pm, at Wings Meadow, in Freiston Road, Boston. Members £1.50, non-members £2.

* The Friendship Walk on Thursday, September 15, at 2pm, at Westwood Lakes, in Five House Lane, Wyberton. A steady walk followed by refreshments at the Fisherman’s Rest Café.

Based in Boston, the society’s members regularly get together to enjoy social events such as talks and trips out, lunches, craft sessions and coffee mornings.

The Oddfellows is also offering a chance to win a luxury afternoon tea for two and £100 spending money in a free prize draw on its campaign website at www.friendshipmonth.com.
