BOSTON’S newly-installed Jubilee Fountain has mysteriously disappeared.
The stone fountain, in Central Park, was only switched on and officially opened on Monday as part of the town’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
But today an eagle-eyed Standard reader captured this image of the empty fountain base - with the fountain itself nowhere to be seen.
Boston councillor Yvonne Gunter, who came up with the idea of the fountain, had previously described it as ‘Boston’s lasting tribute to The Queen on the occasion of her diamond jubilee’.
For updates on this as we get them keep checking the Boston Standard website.
