People worried about soaring energy prices can get help on how to save money at an event in Boston on Friday.
The Citizens Advice Bureau, at the Len Medlock Centre, will be helping residents look at how to save on bills from 1-4.30pm.
People will be able to chat to advisers and, if they wish, can be shown how to use comparison websites so they can shop around for a better deal.
The event is part of the CAB’s national Big Energy Week and comes after price rises announced by nPower and British Gas.
Boston CAB advice services manager Yvonne Robinson said: “People are already struggling with a lot of factors and are perhaps already getting into debt. For a lot of people it is the low season for work around here so it is a double whammy.”
She added that many people fear switching their bills will be complicated, and says advisers can help ease people’s fears.
