A BAND which bit the bullet and started creating original material last year has found success with radio and a national music competition.

Four-piece Boston band Bullet Tooth has made it to the regional final of the Live and Unsigned competition where they will compete for a chance to play at Live Fest, at the 02 Arena in July.

The £100,000 prize pool includes a £10,000 cash prize, gigs at festivals around the world and a UK tour.

Bassist Adam Dawson said: “We think everything is going great just lately, from being in the studio recording to going out playing with the support of our followers, its only going to get better and there’s a whole lot more to come.”

The band which includes vocalist Wes Hunt, guitarist Ed Royce and drummer Tom Waite, have been a covers band for three years but towards the end of last year came up with original material including new track Electric.

The track has since been played on BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Introducing segment and live on Boston’s online radio station Endeavour with Paul Green.

The regional final takes place at Dingwalls, in Camden, on April 1.

Two other tracks, Rush of the Unknown and Heaven to Hell, are also available on their website www.bullettooth.co.uk.
