BATEMANS Brewery – which has numerous pubs in the Boston area – is to have its first bar at the Lincolnshire Show.
On offer will be four cask beers XB, XXXB, Summer Swallow and Lincolnshire Bitter, which has been brewed specifically for the show.
The creators said the beer is a ‘spicy, grainy flavoured bitter fit for any Yellow Belly’ with an ABV of 4.2 per cent.
They said is ‘excellently matched with Lincolnshire sausages, poacher cheese and Lincoln red beer.’
Managing director Stuart Bateman said: “The beer is brewed with ripened barley from Caythorpe Heath and the water is Driby spring water that has been filtered through Lincolnshire chalk, combined with Wainfleet hop leaves.”
Other drinks available will be draught lager and Aspells cider, also from a family producer, and wine.
As well as enjoying a drink there will also be the opportunity to talk to one of the Batemans team about running a pub.
The Lincolnshire Show runs today (Wednesday) and tomorrow.
There will also be a range of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
It includes ring displays, delicacies in the Food Court, shopping in The Mews, agricultural machinery, show jumping, country sports, an animal petting zoo and floral displays
Tickets are £20 Adult and £6 child aged five-16.
