Broadband boost in area

BOSTON villages which struggle with bad broadband could soon see a boost to services, after Lincolnshire County Council received a multi-million pound grant to improve connection.

The authority has been given £14,310,000 by the government in a bid to ensure that 90 per cent of homes in the area have access to super-fast broadband by 2015.

Coun Eddy Poll said: “Fast broadband isn’t a luxury – it’s vital to business growth, to enabling local residents to access online services, and to young people wanting to download learning materials.”
