Bosses at Greenwoods say they are writing to customers from the Boston store who still have outstanding orders.

The menswear chain last week confirmed that it will be leaving its Market Place store because of the cost of the rent. That sparked fears from customers who have placed orders with Greenwoods for suits and attire for events later in the year.

Greenwoods’ commercial director, Richard Burke, said: “We are in the process of writing to customers to explain their options.”

Mr Burke refused to say exactly what these options are but he did confirm that using other local Greenwoods stores is the usual procedure.

The nearest Greenwoods stores are in Skegness, Sleaford and Grantham.
