About 1,500 properties in the Wyberton area lost power from just after 4pm today (Friday), Western Power Distribution has confirmed.
A spokesman for the company said there was a fault with an underground cable in the area, however, he said workers had managed to restore all the supplies by 4.30pm.
He apologised for any inconvenience caused and said: “We don’t anticipate there to be any further power cuts.”
He said other properties in the area may have experienced temporary ‘dips’ in power and also apologised to those affected.
Friday, 4.37pm – Power cuts in Boston have caused town centre properties at least to lose power in the last half hour today (Friday).
Western Power Distribution has revealed that 318 customers in the PE21 area are ‘currently without power’, while the Boston Standard office has lost electricity temporarily three times.
A spokesman at Western Power is looking into whether there are any issues currently.
