Hard-up hauliers have been urged to join the fight to stop a 3p rise in fuel duty, which campaigners say may cost firms thousands of pounds.

The Road Haulage Association says Boston firms should lobby MP Mark Simmonds to stop January’s planned increase in duty.

On Tuesday the Government saw off a vote to reverse the rise – but rumours suggest the chancellor could change his mind before his autmun statement.
