A new bridal shop has opened in Boston offering hand-made and customised gowns alongside dresses at the affordable end of the designer market.
Dress designer Natasha Long has more than 20 years’ experience and is keen to bring her own unique designs and inexpensive brands to brides in the town.
Originally from Belarus, Natasha married Boston man Darien Long last year, wearing one of her own-made elegant gowns.
She said: “I had a wedding dress shop in a city in Belarus for 15 years and have been a dressmaker and designer for 20.
“I’m can make dresses for all occasions, including prom and evening dresses. I can also do any alterations needed.”
Natasha’s skills as a designers saw her win competitions in Belarus for theatrical costume design.
The shop has just opened at 15 Pen Street, sharing the building with business The Wedding Man, run by Tom Blissett, which offers men’s wedding clothing for purchase and hire.
Although separate businesses, the two work together, with customers who buy or hire from one being offered a discount with the other.
Mr Blisset said: “We offer all you will need for wedding wear - I think it’s important to offer choice to avoid sending customers out of town for what they want.”
Natasha is currently acquiring dress stock - which should be available at the shop by April 1.
