A new family team is at the helm at Boston’s Ball House – and they are keen to help customers feel at home with them.
Chef Lee Brierly and hostess Amy Bowler, together with Amy’s parents Carole and David, will open the doors to a fully refurbished Ball House this month.
Since moving in they have been busy stamping their authority on the kitchen and restaurant, but they are also very keen to keep the existing values of the Wainfleet Road venue.
Amy said: “We want to keep the feel and the atmosphere. We want customers to feel as though they are guests in our house.”
Lee is very excited at the prospect of cooking with some of Lincolnshire’s best home grown ingredients.
He describes his style of cooking as ‘good traditional British food, but with a modern twist’.
Lee’s first menu will feature such dishes as warm homemade Scotch eggs, mint-crusted racks of lamb and slow-braised blade of beef in a Bourguignon sauce.
Desserts will offer a sugar-rush in the form of a chocolate and peanut stack or a millionaire shortbread and banoffee pie combination.
Carole said: “We’re all looking forward to being part of the community.
“When we first saw the Ball House we fell in love with it straight away.”
The Ball House will reopen on Friday April 25.
