Update: Traffic troubles in Boston town centre have now eased after an issue with a level crossing has been resolved.
Motorists faced diversions after the Sluice Bridge crossing in Boston failed at about 4.30pm.
The issue had been cleared by 5.30pm.
Tuesday: 5.10pm: A level crossing failure has caused a busy Boston town centre road to have to close this afternoon (Tuesday).
The A1137 Fydell Street, over the Sluice Bridge, between Irby Street and Witham Bank East is currently affected, causing traffic troubles for rush-hour motorists.
It has been reportedly closed for the last half an hour.
