The Cake Lady, Rebecca Callow presenting a cake to Boston Mayor Colin Brotherton to auction off at his charity event.

A special cake showing Boston Stump, Maud Foster Windmill, Guidhall and the market was auctioned off for charity.

Rebecca Callow, of the Cake Lady in Wormgate, baked the impressive offering, which also featured the colours of the Lincolnshire flag, with help from Sally Brittain.

The money from the sale - £55 – goes to the Mayor’s charities - DOCATEF (Detetection of Cancer and Treatment Equipment Fund) and St Barnabas Hospice.

The cake had a base layer of chocolate sponge and then two tiers of vanilla sponge.

The base also illustrated a typical Fenland farming scene, complete with tractor to reflect Coun Brotherton’s strong links to farming and had gold beads to reflect his chain of office.
