Confusion over Kwik Save site

MYSTERY surrounds the former Kwik Save site in Boston, after a foreclosure notice at the ex-supermarket brought speculation that a new business is moving in.

A sign was posted on the car park last week by Tesco Holdings, which owns the site, saying the area was to be re-let.

The Boston Borough Council, which ran the car park for Kwik Save, knew nothing about the change until the notice went up and black bags appeared over the parking meters.

Confusion over the parking meters has led to people leaving their cars on the site and not paying for a ticket.

There have been rumours that discount chain B&M Stores may move into the space, but the company declined to comment on the speculation and last month Tesco said it had no plans for the site.
