Rosalind and Keith Storr of Clifton Road, Boston, have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
The couple met at Oldrids when they both worked there. “I was chubby back then so he wasn’t interested in me at first,” said Rosalind. But I lost weight and met him again at the May Fair when I was looking at an octypus and he came up behind me and put his hands over my eyes. We went out for a date that night and didn’t come back home until the early hours of the morning.”
The couple, of Clifton Road, later married at the Stump.
Speaking about their 50 years together, she added: “We’ve had our ups and downs but we have always worked things through. When you say your vows you stick to them. I’ve been sick and he’s looked after me and now it’s my turn to look after him.”
