A taste of the continent is coming to Boston this week, with a special market in town from tomorrow (Thursday).

Food and drink from across Europe will be on sale in the Market Place tomorrow and Friday and in Wide Bargate on Saturday – from 9am to 5pm all three days.

Traders will also don traditional costumes and offer crafts and clothes.

Coun Derek Richmond, Boston Borough Council’s portfolio holder for markets, said: “It has always been the intention to have a dedicated events space in the Market Place.

“New bollards and planters will segregate this area and this will be the first event to take advantage of this space. Boston has a reputation for the excellence of its markets and this will complement its offer.”
