Free-range poultry operation plans refused for Stickford

PROPOSALS for a free-range poultry operation at Poplars Farm on Main Road in Stickford have been turned down by East Lindsey District Council.

The application by A.R. Craven Farms Ltd did not go before the planning committee but was determined under delegated powers by senior case officer Paul Thompson.

In his report, the officer deemed that such a development ‘would not compliment the locally distinctive character and visual appearance of the fenland landscape within which it would be located’.
