Job risks at British Sugar

JOBS are at risk after British Sugar announced proposals to review operations at its four processing plants, including its plant in Bury St Edmunds.

The changes could affect up to 16 people involved in the packaging, storage and distribution of the company’s sugar products, known as the finished products area.

A spokeswoman said: “It’s hoped that we are able to re-deploy some of these affected as a number of positions have been created across our finished products business area, as well as a number of alternative positions being available within British Sugar.”
