The former Wickes building in Boston is set for a new lease of life as a supermarket.
The unit, in George Street, is to re-open as Boston Supermarket this month.
Boston Supermarket is a family business run by Harem Ali, as manager, and his father Bakhtyar, as director.
They have been running similar businesses in Wakefield and now moved to Boston to expand their operation, Harem said.
Work has been taking place at the site throughout the summer, with signage for the new enterprise appearing last week.
“We have been working on it since June,” Harem said. “It was a really big job.”
The supermarket will sell a mix of English and European products, Harem said, and also have a bakery and deli counter offering fresh goods. There is also an application in place for alcohol sales, he added.
He said the business was looking to have up to 25 employees.
A grand opening with the Mayor of Boston is to take place at a date to be confirmed, he added.
