THE gift of a vegetable may sound like a highly unromantic gesture - but a Boston produce company is offering this as a tempting alternative to flowers.

Nicknamed ‘Cupid’s cabbage’, Boston-based company T H Clements has produced these colourful and edible vegetables.

They have already been used as an alternative wedding bouquet by Shropshire bride Victoria Kelly (pictured).

The flowering cabbages, which come in pink, purple and white, are on sale for a limited time, priced 89p.
