Today (Wednesday) is Lincolnshire Day, celebrate with a traditional couny treat from ‘butcher to the stars’ Mountain’s Boston Sausage.
The business has joined with The Standard, to offer 20 per cent off its Lincolnshire Sausages for today Wednesday and tomorrow only.
The company’s reputation is spreading not only in this area but also in London, where it operates a stall on Borough Market – something of a celebrity hotspot.
The most recent star name to pop by was Henry Winkler, who played Arthur ‘the Fonz’ Fonzarelli.
Although Mr Winkler didn’t buy anything, he stopped by to chat to staff and have his picture taken.
Sam Mountain, who runs the London-stall, said he was a big fan of Happy Days and when he saw the star he had to get a picture of him.
He said: “He was more than happy to, he was such a nice guy and other people were coming up and saying hello.”
And the Fonz isn’t the only celebrity to have stopped by the stall, the star-studded list includes Rob Brydon, Pixie Lott, Jane Horn, James McAvoy, Russell Brand, David Seaman, Mark Dolan and Heston Blumenthal.
Sam said: “We do get a lot of celebrities down there, but I don’t like to ruin their day and bombard them with pictures.”
He said, however, that with the popularity of the Fonz picture on the company’s Facebook page, he is thinking a celebrity scrapbook might be a good idea.
