A £150,000 revamp of a Boston night-time hot spot is nearing completion.

The Wine Bar, in Bridge Street, has seen its exterior restored on the back of a £75,000 grant through the Historic England’s Partnership Schemes in Conservation Areas scheme. This sees funding being spent on the preservation and enhancement of Conservation Areas.

The exterior makeover has been complemented by an interior refurbishment.

The business is also in the process of relaunching. The new-look club is up-and-running, as is a ‘Bedouin E-Shisha’ bar in the basement. A restaurant – which will be open during the day – and under 18s venue, called 7/11, is due to open this summer.

Designated premises supervisor Holly Thompson said she was ‘very pleased’ with the results so far, praising M. A Warnes for their handling of the restoration.

She said: “Mark Warnes and his team have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

“I would recommend them highly for any project big all small, I can’t praise them enough for the turnaround.”
