Traders are being asked for their views on a new food market to be held on Fish Hill featuring ‘local food from around the world’.
Organisers said the idea came from Boston’s ‘social impact of population change’ report which wanted to encourage trade in West Street. Portfolio holder for community development Coun Mike Gilbert said: “Sometimes people may feel a little intimidated by having to cross the threshold into a shop which they find is unfamiliar territory. “A market stall, by its open nature, can be much more accessible, especially when the smell and look of unfamiliar food can appeal from a distance.”
