Supplying 11 million Christmas dinners

A BUTTERWICK company will be supplying the country with a traditional staple of Christmas dinner this festive season – the sprout.

Produce World Marshall’s grows, packs and distributes the divisive vegetable which family members either love or hate.

Group commercial director Jason Burgess said: “Christmas is a busy time, and we know how important it is to make sure that we get our produce on supermarket shelves no matter the weather or road conditions.”

The company estimates that between December 11 and January 7 it will distribute nearly two million packs of sprouts - enough for 11 million Christmas dinners.
