BOSTON rail passengers are today being hit by the third in a series of six strikes called by the train drivers union ASLEF.
The union ASLEF voted to take industrial action over changes to their pensions by East Midlands Trains (EMT), with the first two dates held last week.
EMT, which runs the line that passes through Boston, has put on replacement bus services on the strike days.
The arrangements mean that:
*buses from Boston to Nottingham call at Heckington, Sleaford, Grantham and Bingham
*bus from Boston to Grantham call at Sleaford and Heckington only
*passengers wanting to go to Skegness can use their train tickets on the Stagecoach Interconnect 7 bus
*there are no trains or replacement bus services at Netherfield, Radcliffe, Aslockton, Elton & Orston, Bottesford, Ancaster, Rauceby, Swineshead or Hubberts Bridge
The same arrangements should stand on the remaining strike days, on Thursday and May 15 and 17.
